    Indy "Circle City" Meet Recap

    Congratulations to the 60 Atlantis swimmers who competed in the Circle City Classic this past weekend.The team finished 4th overall. The Boys Team was 1st and the Girls Team was 6th.

    Six Atlantis swimmers were in the top ten high point for their age group.

    • 10 and Under Boys: Max Chen-4th
    • 11-12 Boys: Zachary Chen-1st
    • 13-14 Girls: Maison Moore-10th
    • 13-14 Boys: Troy Chen-2nd, Alec Girdler-5th
    • Open Girls: Annie Lazor-5th

    The following swimmers finished top eight in their age group in at least one individual event:

    Emilie Pilibosian, Linnea Anderson, Michael Fischer, Maxwell Chen, Joey Girdler, Mykala Arnold, Sydney McKay, Zachary Chen, Evan Burke, Maison Moore, Natalie Pierce, Clare Nienstedt, Michael Dennison, Troy Chen, Alec Girdler, Chelsea Abbott, Annie Lazor, Jeremy Podgorski.

    The following swimmers were members of a top 8 finishing relay:

    Emily Schlabach, Lauren Biglin, Ryan Lawrence, Emma Williams, Frankie Antenucci, Emily Abbott, Madison Clement, Maren Taylor, Maggie Davis, Francis Misra, Blake Woods, Nathan Lazor, Alessandro Guttilla, Jake Best, Billy Nienstedt, Mary Pilibosian, Madison Taylor, Brent Hosea, Brendan Tamm, Daniel Carniak.

Handbook :: Volunteer Responsibilities

BBA HOSTED MEET-FULL TEAM EFFORT

BBA has won a bid to host a meet for the 2009-10 Short Course Season. We will be hosting the 12 & Under State Meet on March, 12-14, 2010 at Waterford Mott High School.

Mark Hosea has graciously volunteered to be the meet director. We would welcome anyone else who would like to learn the role of Co-meet director to assist Mark this year. If you are interested please contact Laura Burke. This is a very important event not only for the club to earn money, but a responsibility of clubs to provide opportunities for our swimmers to have a venue to compete. Please consider making this YOUR contribution to Michigan Swimming and our team.

Thank you for your continued commitment to Birmingham Bloomfield Atlantis swimming. Without your contribution of time, talent, and energy our meet could not happen!

As with many other organizations we are always looking for volunteers throughout the year for board positions or to head a single event. Now that our club has become so large and spread amongst four pools it is often difficult to know who may be interested in furthering their commitment to BBA.
